Hello.
There are numerous choices of video & audio file formats and codecs Premiere users have when exporting and even when previewing clips in the timeline.
Given that, I wanted to learn more in-depth details about each of the file formats and codecs that could be used. What the strengths and weaknesses are of each. Which codecs are more appropriate for specific purposes. Which work better than others as far as performance in the timeline and in editing apps generally. Etc. Surprisingly, it’s been a challenge to find this information online.
What websites, or books for that matter, do you know that delve into this topic? I just want to make more informed decisions about which formats and codecs to select in certain circumstances while I create my projects.
