Hi all,

I'm having this problem where I'm trying to export a video, but the image post-export looks heavily digitized. The video is 1080p full HD, and so are the sequence settings and the render setting (H.264 match source).

It becomes particularly evident when you add any effects. I'll attach a clip, which shows a black screen fading into a shot of the moon with a slow-fading gaussian blur, which I added in post. As you can see, the blur looks incredibly pixellated, and I was wondering if it was fixable by changing the sequence settings or render settings.

Looks like your original video is heavily compressed and noisy, you may get much better results if you remove noise from your clip before applying the Gaussian blur effect. You may need third party tools (Paid plugins) such as Neat Video (https://www.neatvideo.com/) or Redgiant Denoiser

Thanks! The original footage isn't mine, which is why I was kind of at a loss as to which settings to use, I'll give you suggestion a try then update the thread if it solves the issue.
