Hello,
I just downloaded 25.1, and am having a hard time quickly seeing cuts on the timeline (see attached).
I understand clips were change to rounded corners, but it also appears the highlight line that marked a cut and differentiated betweent two clips is also now gone.
Is there an option to bring that back? I poked around settings and didn't see it. Brightening the clips makes it slightly easier to see, but then it activates the reverse waveform UI for audio, which I don't want.
Thanks.

Unfortunately no, as this is the new rounded corners in the 25.1 update. Unless Adobe tweaks this, I fear it's the new look of the timeline. I agree it makes it look like there could be gaps that aren't there.

Hi there,
You're not alone in this complaint. We've seen lots of feedback on this new feature and it's definitely a concern for many users. We are trying to forward as many comments to the team as possible so that they can hopefully look at restoring some of the expected behavior; I think this interface change is definitely a work in progress.
Please feel free to add a comment in this discussion as there are often more Adobe eyeballs in the Beta forums.

Ah, I see.
I'm fine with the rounded corners. I feel like there simply needs to be better visual sepration between the clips on the cut points. Having a brigh verticle highlight line, like in previous versions of Premiere, would do the trick. Cuts are the single most important data on the timeline, and I feel like they should be a little easier to discern.
