Do the virtual files (nested sequences) that get logged into the Project Files in the Project Clips have any effect if they are two uniquely saved Premiere files?

I mean - do two separate Premiere files 'talk to each other' or are their Project Clips (which do seem to be virtual)  segregated?

Want to avoid anything overwriting. - It seems to be the nested clips named & saved are virtual, internal to the file.

Thank you.
