Drag footage into timeline as insert by default. I don‘t want this.

So the question is, when I move a clip in my timeline, it becomes "insert' by default without holding down "Command" button.  If i hold the key, it also works as "insert". So now i could not go on with my editing work. Both v22.6.4 and v25.1 have this problem.

I tried re-install Premiere or Restart my computers. Nothing worked.

Try resetting preferences.

Have you tried performing the same action in a brand-new sequence? This can help determine if the issue is specific to your current sequence.

Additionally, your sequence appears to be quite long with many edits. Splitting it into shorter segments might improve Premiere's overall performance.

I tried to do this in a brand-new sequence. Still the same. And I also tried performing the same action in a much smaller sequence. The problem is still there. I even tried a new keyboard.

I tried. I deleted my user profile and set everything by default. Still the same.

Couple thoughts: Try resetting the preferences by pressing "shift" during premiere startup instead of manual delete of profile. Also, if you work with multiple monitors or program windows, try working on only one monitor or program window and see if the problem persists.

Sadly. This problem just came back. Is there any other way to solve it?
