Whenever I add a keyframe to the "Write-on" effect the rendering of what I'm making slows to a crawl and I can't get anything done. Does anyone have any tips/help, please?

Write on is a non gpu effect (hence the lag) and obsolete.

Best is to use After Effect for drawing.
