FYI, I'm new to Audition and Premiere, but I've been doing a crash course on how to use both (so pardon if I'm not using the right terms).
I recorded AmbiX audio (used Zoom H3-VR). Though probably overkill for the project I'm working (not VR video), I still want to edit this audio in my Premier sequence. I've read enough to figure out how to ensure my sequence settings are set right for the ambisonic audio, tested out the effects control plugin for binaural and panning, etc. I'm at the point where I want to edit my audio further using Audition. If I right-click on my ambisonics track (4 tracks) in Premier and choose "Edit Clip in Audition" it does a "render and replace" dialog and then opens the audio in the Waveform in Audition as one track...not 4, just one. Is there a way to have edit as a multitrack in Audition right from premier?

Looks like I figured it out. I can't just edit the audio only. I have to send the entire Premier sequence to Audition with the video included. Then it imports to multitrack. However it Audition didn't keep my Adaptive audio channels and converted them to Mono (error message appeared). Not sure if that will be an issue once I save everything but I guess I'll find out
