Is it possible to shorten a clips on the timeline that have default premiere transitions such as 'slide', 'circluar iris' etc etc, without the transitions being deleted? Some of the clips are infact just png stills, but I think this applies to all clips video or image? I'm sure I have done ithis in the past but can not remember how I did it it. Or I'm thinking of FCP which does this? Is it a case of being in the right tool?

Thank you Best regards

Julian

You could try the 'Trim Edit', (shift T) or the slide tool, (U) or the slip tool (Y).
