effect controls not showing

I want to add a zoom in effect and ive watched videos on how to do it and they say to drag the clip over to the top left and click effect controls but I dont have it on my screen..

Whichever version of Premiere you have doesn't matter, it's always going to be Window > Effect Controls  😉

If you don't see the Effect Controls panel, then just go to Window > Effect Controls.

It should appear in the top left corner of your screen.
