Ellipse opacity mask snapping into corners

Why does an ellipse-shaped opacity mask snap and fill the entire corner of the video when it moves past a certain point? This shape has no other effects added to it.

It looses it feathering.

Hi! Thanks Roofit27599683mh5v and Ann for bringing this to my attention. I can repro (also with rectangle or free form masks). I filed a bug report for this.
