Essential Sound Error Icon

I know this is an issue that has been posted, but I'm not finding a clear answer...

When using the Essential Sound panel, I've selected all my clips in the timeline (yes, they are all selected and assigned as dialogue,) then choose match volume,  I'm getting a yellow error icon that says  “Some of the selected clips are enabled, while others are not."

Is this a bug, or user error? And what's the best fix?

Try small chunks of the timeline.
