Essential Sound Panel Causes Extreme Lag and Freeze

For the last few months everytime I have the Essential Sound Panel open, Adobe Premiere suffers extreme lag. When I open the panel, when I repair audio, when I use the remix tool, or go from a diffrent work space to one that has the panel open I get a spinny ball for several minutes before the program is fuctional again.

I have tried reinstalling Premiere, I've updated the program, I have cleared the cache, computer restarts. Everything I can think of.

Has anyone run into similar issues or have any advice to solve this?

I am using the Apple Silicon version of Premiere on a MacBook Pro with the M1 Max Chip. I'm on MacOS 12.2.1.

Have you reset preferences?:

1. Hold down: Alt/Options on Mac or Alt on (Windows).
2. Keep holding down the Alt key, and click on the Premiere Pro app icon to open it.
3. In a few seconds, it asks you “Are you sure you want to reset your preferences?”. Click OK.

Just tried it. Unfortunately that did not work.
