Hi
I need to export a sequence to Pro Tools and it's very important that the timeline markers, appears on Pro Tools.
I exported in AAF and OMF, the audio tracks are OK, but no Markers.
If I export an AAF from Avid Media Composer, the Locators (this is the name in Avid for markers) appears in Pro Tools.
Both, Video and Audio edit stations are Mac based and we have a Nexis Server from Avid.
Thanks
Hello,
I got some intelligence from devs. From what I gather, for AAF exports, sequence markers are supported in MC but not ProTools. I assume you could export the AAF to MC and then export AAF from MC to ProTools. Sorry for the workaround, The team is aware of the issue. Sorry for the frustration.
Cheers,
Kevin

Sorry, @Kevin-Monahan, but this is not a useful answer as it does not address the OP's question. I, too, have the same question: How can you make Premiere export markers to its AAFs?
Markers are part of the AAF file format, but Premiere does not write them. You can verify this by importing an AAF that Premiere has produced back into Premiere.

Hello @F_O4336,
Thanks for the note. The OP did not return, so the stock response is to add the User Guide page. However, you are correct that the page does not address the topic of marker inclusion. It may not be part of the feature set. We'll have to ask the product team about that. Let me try and find out for you.
Cheers,
Kevin
