Your iPhone is set to record HLG files, a form of HDR. You need to go into the Project panel, select one or more clips, right-click/Modify/Interpret Footage.

At the bottom of that dialog are the new color management controls.

Use the Override option, and set the option to Rec.709.

You may need to redo your color correction for those files now, but the exports will work.

I did this one minute video to show how to fix it!  https://youtu.be/GgVq2tL8khQ

Fix Adobe Premiere Pro Blown Out Overexposed Footage FAST!! Man, Adobe Premiere can be so frustrating. Usually I post about gaming, but I didn't see a video on this and had to make one. Cheers. -DG Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gamerofthedenver Twitter: ...

Welcome to the New World, eh? Color management is now a thing even editors must learn.

Like many others on this forum, I've been posting about how to do this for the last couple years. Because, yea, if you don't understand what's going on, you're gonna go around the bend a bit.

I even have a couple FAQs for this forum on this issue.

Which realistically is Color Management 101.

The clip color space, the sequence color space, and the export color space must be the same, then it works correctly.

Leave one or more out, you get ... whatever happens. But not what you wanted.

I'm using Premier 2024 and don't get modify/interpet footage on a clip right click.  not in the drop down window.

Why are you trying? That's "ancient practice" already.

Go where ALL color managment controls are located, so you can set them correctly all the way through the processing change. As noted above.
