Exported video glitches, stops, then continues

Hello guys,

I am having a big problem lately with the newest version of Premiere and Encoder too. When I export a video, everything looks fine while the export runs and "closes". After that, in the video there are some parts, where the footage stops (for a few second, for minutes, it's not the same in every project) then continues.

I tried to export to an SSD (T7 Shield) and to the Macbook's SSD too, but nothing helps. Of course I restarted both Premiere and the Macbook several times. Anyone having the same issues or have any idea, how to turn this around?

Macbook Pro 16" 2019 (2020 late)

Intel-i9

Radeon 8GB

1 TB SSD

Running Sonoma (which is, btw imo very unstable but have no time to downgrade...)

Thanks!

Same issue!

Tried reinstalling previous version where I never had any issue, but it seems that I get this sudden loss of footage with that version too now. Makes me wonder if installing an update affects other versions of Premiere Pro installed on my device (which would be a questionable practice imo).

Curruently I have tried Apple Pro Res 4444, 422, HEVC(H265), H264 and now down to the plain-old( time consuming, PNG sequence export.
every single one came with a sudden glitch at random moment's, rarely the same portion of my render is lost (both software encoding as hardware encoding). While I do not get an error on most renders (in Media Encoder and/or Premiere) the HVEC render does give me an error!

So then I tried to render out every single clip in my sequence separately and puzzle together all the frames that weren't lost over several renders....

to only realise I still have to rerender that puzzle, and ofcourse containing the gaps broken footage

Wow man, this is insane, I don't know if I'd ever have the patience to do the same workflow what you had to do...of course I would because I MUST do it, but anyway:

Now the only solution that worked for me is to downgrade to version 23.6. I see that doesn't work for you, maybe older/ previous versions? Try to uninstall the 24.0 version completely (but keep the preferences and assets - or whatever Premiere asks you too keep uninstalling) and make sure that you delete the previous versions FOLDER too! That helped me, hope it helps you too.

The HEVC codec is always a pain in the ass because of it's compression, I recommend converting the footage to MXF, not h.264. MXF makes bigger files - I assume you're trying to edit some iPhone footage - but always worked for me.

So in the end the program (23.6) works fine for me and don't had any issues yet. So maybe my method will work for ya as well but I read tons of topics where people had almost the same issue and reinstalling the older version always worked for them. Good luck with it sport, keep meg updated!
