Exported videos .mp4s are pausing?

Hi,

I'm having difficulty with exports, all exported videos are pausing mid-way through playing. It seems to only affect .mp4 exports.

This is across both my desktop (iMac 2019) and Mac book pro (brand new) both using Monterey 12.1

  • All apps PP and ME are up to date.
  • I tried queuing in ME and direct export from PP and also the new fast export in PP all resulting in the same issue.

Any ideas? very frustrating..

Many thanks

Philip

Please post screenshots of your media properties, sequence settings, and export settings.

Does it have the pauses if you import the exported file into Premiere Pro and view it on the timeline?

Hi Peru Bob,

Thanks for getting back to my post, I tried importing the file back into PP, and it is still freezing.

Below is an image of the export setting, h.264 and youtube 1080 preset

Hi Philip!

Sorry to hear that. What's the source of the media files? Are they screen recorded footage? Do you get the same issue while editing?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

Hi Kartika,

Thanks for your message, they are XMF files mainly but I use a few different cameras on projects.

Many thanks

Philip

I may have resolved the issue, I work off a Synology server, so I set up a test project on my local drive. The export worked perfectly, and the video played without any pausing problems.

The problem now is fixing the problem with the server.

Many thanks

Philip
