Exporting 4K to 2K H.264 and audio setting issue

Hi! I exported 4k sequence to 2k mp4 & audio (48khz & 24bit). The audio was distorted and sounds different with the original (48khz & 24bit). What did I do wrong? Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have any audio track effects applied?

Try exporting to a ProRes file first (with uncompressed audio) and then if that sounds okay make your MP4 from that file.
