Hi! Does anybody have a useful trick for exporting a sequence into multiple files?
We often export media for Instagram, which allows max 1 min uploads to stories (it splits that to 4x15sec stories). So when your sequence is longer, you need to export it to multiple files 1 minute or less in length.
Moving the In/Out multiple times isn't the best solution (but we're using it), so was just wondering if anyone has any tricks or a better workflow up their sleeves? Thanks 🙂
Best,
P

There are third party apps that do this specific function, though they will probably involve a re-encode but they are perhaps the simplest solution.
You could try this workaround, which will require a bit of initial setup but you can then reuse it.
Take your MASTER sequence and nest everything into NEST1. Then add an edit every 15secs on NEST1.
Now go to each clip one at a time from the beginning and nest each clip again. This will give you a series of Nested Sequences in your project panel, each 15secs long. You can batch export these. All you now need to do for each new video you produce is to replace everything in your MASTER sequence with the new video and the series of Nests should contain the 15sec chunks of your new video.
This is a total hack and I suspect you may get issues with caching and glitches so proceed with caution. But depending on your setup, it may work.
