Potentially missing a setting here.
I have a timeline with a 4096 × 2048 (2:1) aspect ratio. It's widescreen, not 360. But everytime I export the VR setting in the export window or in Media Encoder defaults to checked. The QTs play fine in most cases but occasionally when I upload to Vimeo the viseo gets streched. Vimeo has now taken away the option to uncheck this feature in it's settings so this creates a problem that requires re-exporing a sequence that takes upwards of an hour. -Ah, you ask, why not uncheck the box before exporting? Will I do, most of the time but it seems to only do this for this particular sequence. I assume the 2:1 aspect ratio is triggering it but it seems it should be something to opt into, not out of.
I have the VR settings of my sequence set to "none"
Any ideas on how to keep my exports from defaulting to VR?

You have checked the "Video is VR"-box in the export settings though the video is not, and thats why it happens. That setting is sticky, meaning that if you check it once it will stay until you un-check it.
Un-check it for the next export and see if that helps with the Vimeo issue.

That is preciscly the issue - I did not check the box, PP is deeming it necessary to check the box for me. If I export a standard 16x9 video the box is unchecked. I do not want to have to check every single time I export something.
Not sure about sticky but I only ever uncheck it. I have never exported a VR video. So that is not the solution.
