EXTENDSCRIPT: Saving Marker Objects to an External Database

Hi,

  Is there anyway to export Marker objects from a sequence to an external database and then to recreate them from that database into a cloned sequence?  I believe I could JSON.stringify the markers, save to a text file or DB and then recreate them, but wondering if there is a better method.
