Extracting text from title layers with CEP

I'm trying to build a solution to automate video transcription by exporting the text values of all title layers for a given project. I've dug around the Object Model Viewer in the ExtendScript Toolkit and I can't figure out where this data is available. Is it currently accessible? If so, any documentation?

You might try exporting the project in the Final Cut Pro XML format and then parsing that to get what you're looking for...

Are you hoping to get text strings from PPro's old Titler tool, or from the more recent Motion Graphics Templates?

Hi Bruce, like Kyle I was looking to programmatically extract and / or replace text values within an 'essential graphics' templated clip. Can this be done via Extendscript, if so, how? Thanks.

It cannot be done, today; however, that hotly-requested API feature is being considered for inclusion in upcoming releases.
