Hi everyone.
I recently had to perform a re-install of Windows. I thought I had everything backed up in a Team project, but it looks as though when I re-open the project and relink/locate all of the clips and media there are still numerous .aegraphic files that were created in the user document folder now lost.
I have all of the original .mogrt files. I believe I read that .aegraphic files are just the .mogrt file + metadata. Is there a way to restore the motion graphics elements of a sequence if I have the original .mogrt file or do I have to delete these elements and start over?
I found this discussion which I 'think' is the same. When I Alt-drag and drop the original .mogrt unto a broken element, it didn't work.
Is there any way to repair these broken elements?

Try either of these methods:
- Alt/Option drag the MOGRT from the Essential Graphics panel onto one of the graphics in your timeline. This will download the MOGRT files to the location set in File > Project Settings > Scratch Disks. Then, select the offline MOGRT file in the Project panel, go to File > Link Media, and point it to this new file (it should have the same file name as the old MOGRT). This will update all uses of this MOGRT in your project.
- Shift + Alt/Option drag the MOGRT from the E

This will create a new online instance of the MOGRT in the timeline and only update the selected graphic.
In both approaches, it should retain any data you’ve added to the MOGRT.
