Folders don't import as bins when using the import module when setting up a project

New Here ,

Using Premiere Pro version 25.5 with Sonoma 14.4.

When I try using the import module and select folders to import, why don't they import as bins? They just come in as loose clips into the project panel, meaning that I have to recreate bins.

Am I missing a work around? Do I need to update OS?

Thanks for any help!

Pam

To preserve your folder structure as bins, import your media through the Media Browser instead of the import module. Go to Window > Media Browser, then navigate to your folders and import from there. This method maintains folder and subfolder structures by converting them into bins in the Project panel.
