I've tried clearing the cache and rendering with OpenCL - the only other render option. It fixes that glitch but makes another artifact elsewhere.
Intel Core i9-14900HX
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
64GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD
Tried changing 25p/24/23.976 too.
Rendering out h.264 high quality 1080p HD
Also tried Adaptive High Bitrate

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. Do a clean installation of a Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

I had the latest studio driver, I just rolled back to the previous studio driver, still artifacting 😞

I am still experiencing this issue - Can anyone assist?

I've tried clearing the cache and rendering with OpenGL/OpenCL.
Tried changing 25p/24/23.976
Rendering out h.264 high quality 1080p HD + Adaptive High Bitrate
Updated to latest studio driver, rolled back studio drivers, tried game drivers.
Cleared cache while project was closed - to clear all.
Changed scratch disks.
Intel Core i9-14900HX
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
64GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD
All latest Adobe/Win11Pro
One workaround is Quicktime with h264 codec, but I need regular h264 mp4 exports to work again.

Hi yash-lucid,
Sorry to hear about this. Please let us know the source & format of the media used & if you have applied any third-party plugins or effects. For testing purposes, please try disabling hardware accelerated encoding under Edit > Preferences > Media & see if it's exporting H.264 properly.
Thanks,
Sumeet

It's an h.264 mp4 file. No effects on the layer.
Disabled hardware accellerated Decoding: WORKS!
Enable hardware accellerated Decoding (Intel): WORKS!
Enable hardware accellerated Decoding (Nvidia): Artifacts!
Enable hardware accellerated Decoding (Nvidia) but Disable Encoding: WORKS!
Thanks for the solutions! Now to figure out which working setting to use that is the best? And also how to resolve it? Esp if it means rendering will be slower without GPU, would like to fix.

Thanks for testing hardware accelerated encoding. Are you getting these artifacts with this specific media or with other media as well? Have you tried JonesVid's suggestion of transcoding the original media to see if the transcoded one is working properly? Also, please let us know the source of this media & the Studio driver version that you are using.

It seems to be only this clip. Since your suggestion above worked, I didn't transcode as per JonesVid's suggestion.
The source is the client who sent it to me, and the studio driver is 576.80

Is your original footage Variable Frame Rate?.
Use MediaInfo tool to show characterisitics of your original media and post here (.txt version)

Thanks for .txt file. That file I presume, is the original media you are editing?.
It is variable frame rate which can cause some issues occasionally.
If you are familar with Handbrake or Shutter Encoder you can re-encode your footage to Constant Frame rate.
Then as a test, replace one of your media files on your timeline with the Constant Frame rate version. Keep your edits of course.
Then try exporting that portion only of the timeline with in/out points as a short test
You should not need Max Render quality or Max depth ticked.
I noticed the bit rate of the original file is 2597KBs which is quite low. You would expect normally 8 - 10MBs for reasonable quality.
Try exporting with another preset such as You Tube or Vimeo HD.
Let us know how you get on.
By the way - why are you using Open CL and not CUDA renderer for an NVidia Card?. Open CL will work but CUDA is normal choice for NVidia.

OK - now makes sense if Sumeet asked you to do that for problem tracking.
If you have time, try the Constant Frame rate test for one or two clips. Go back to NVidia Encoding Hardware enabled once Sumeet has completed the checks he requires, as I don't want to divert you from that.

Glad you got it working.
If you receive future footage that causes you issues - transcoding it to a known state is always worth it.
Attached a basic screen shot of Handbrake where I imported a 4K iPhone 15Pro Variable Frame rate Video and I am exporting showing Constant Frame rate selected 25fps, H264 encoder. Basically nothing else changed, pass thru audio, just selected NVidia Hardware Encode - or you could select Intel if you have an Intel iGPU
Software encode also available.

Shutter Encoder maybe a bit more comprehensive and I know some other users prefer that instead.
