We're sorry to hear about this. Let us know the exact version of Premiere Pro that you are using & the system specs (OS, CPU, GPU & RAM). Also, have you tried switching the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only to check if it's restoring the preview?

My first thought is that the GPU driver in your computer needs to be updated! We have an article here on the community that shows you how to do this. Let us know if this helps!

And if that's not it, please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:
