Frame size of media different from PPro 2022 to 2025 software versions

I have an old project that I've just recently re-mastered - from avi 720x576 to ProRes 422 1080p. The frame size and position between the two versions of software is different. EG: In PPro 2022at 10:19:44:10 (and everywhere else) the image is 261 uniform scale, 996w & 540h. As you can see in a still frame from 2022.jpg, it fills the complete frame. However, on importing into 2025 I get the following frame - 2025.jpg - which is also 261 uniform scale, 996w & 540h. I'm at a loss to know what is going on.

OK, I'm sorted. Thanks for listening. Importing a 2022 project into 2025, did not mirror the imported file's pixel aspect ratio. I needed to modify it manually. I can see where I went wrong.

Both images look interlaced which might refer to the pixel aspect ratio not being correct and incorrect fields.

Post screenshots of both 22 and 25 media properties, both effect controls and both sequence settings and export settings of 2022.

You are correct, Ann, that the original film was interlaced. However the 720x576 avi file was then transcoded to ProRes 422 (still in 720x576) . The rsulting file was initially utilised in PPro 2022, where the modifications to size and positioning was done.  I then imported the whole project into PPro 2025. This is where the discrepancy showed up. The file is essentially the same in both versions:

Type: QuickTime Movie
File Size: 11.74 GB
Image Size: 720 x 576
Frame Rate: 25.00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Total Duration: 00:40:16:18
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0940
Alpha: None

Are the program monitor resolutions both set to full?

Are the sequence settings the same?

Have you tried deleting the Media Cache files?

Yes to the first two. No to the third. The file is identical in both versions (see above)

OK I can see where a discrepancy lies. In PPro 2022 the file is shown as having a 1.0940 pixel aspect ratio. However, in 2025, the exact same file is shown as having 1.0 pixel aspect ratio. Can you explain why that is the case?
