I use a 3 monitor setup, and the right screen as playback monitor.
Suddenly, the full screen playback does not show on the assigned screen, but plays on the main (middle) screen in a strange overlaying postition of the program monitor (see image attached)
I have tried deactivating playback, activating, reboot, Nvidia Driver update...
This issue is new, and shows in all new projects. Old projects work normally funny enough.
Anybody can help with this issue?
Thanks!

Try chanign the video rendering and play to software from project settings as follow -
Go to File > Project settings > General > Video Rendering & PlayBack > Change to mercury playback engine Software only.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. Thank you for your suggestion, but my computer isn't giving me the option to change it to software only. It's greyed out. Thank you.

Hej Kevin,
still the same issues when I use the 3 monitor setup.
Working on a 16inch MacBook Pro M1 Max with 32GB Ram 1TB SSD.
Monitor 1 is conneted directly to the HDMI output, the 2nd is connected via HDMI on a TB4 adapter by Satechi.
Since May I have played around with the Monitor resolutions, but I could not get it to fit, and in some resolutions it still shows the preview even on the wrong monitor.
Any help is appreciated,
Would be amazing if there could be any fix.
Cheers,
Lukas

Thanks for the details, Lukas! Is this happening with the latest version of Premiere Pro? Also, does it work properly when you connect the monitors directly to the system without using adapters?
