Gaussian Blur in wrong place

New Here ,
Nov 15, 2023 Nov 15, 2023

I'm trying to add a gaussian blur to my subject as seen in the picture. But for some reason, whenever I create the mask to surround the subject with the blur, it puts it directly to left of it. this seems to be happening throughout several clips in my project. Any suggestions?

Try nesting the clips and adding the blur to the nest.

It could be happening when the resolution of an Adjustment layer doesn't match the sequence's resolution. They need to match in order for mask data to sit in the correct place.
