German results when doing Transcript

New Here ,
Jun 22, 2025 Jun 22, 2025

I've created a transcript from my videos but its a german/english mix.

The recording is in english and I've also set premiere pro to en_US (in the console).

But the installed Premiere Pro 2025 was originally in german.

(Maybe thats the issue?)

1. And now I cant regenerate it since its greyed out.

2. And how I can prevent this in future. Can i force it to english somehow?

Regards

@kevinkernx,

To re-transcribe a Source Media transcription, you can't be in the Sequence/timeline/Program Monitor view. We know you are in this view, because you have the option to create a static transcript.

Select the clip in the Project Panel, right-click, pick re-transcript and set to English. This will correct it in the sequence.

If you have multiple clips, select all of them in the Project Panel, and retranscribe.
