Hi there,

I am trying to export a video in Premiere Pro 19 for a European broadcaster. In the screenshot below you can see the requirements.

However I can't seem to find an option to adjust the GOP Length (which client needs to be 12 (M=3, N=12) and Format Profile (which should be 422P @ High Level).

Also when I export the file, while the footage looks fine the graphics that appera on top of the footage are distorted/blurry. Any idea of what might be causing this please? Many thanks

Hi @,

I read your message. It seems as if Adobe Expert, Jarle has the most appropriate respnse for you: https://adobe.ly/3C6Ampx. Can you please check that out? Otherwise, you can file a feature request in our Ideas forum so that the developers will be aware of your request. Let me know if you need help with that.

Thanks,
Kevin

If you check Force Fixed Length GOPS you will get what you are asking.

Do a test run and check with Mediainfo.

Thanks Ann,

even if I check that option I don't get the option to adjust the M and N paramaters.

How I can do that?

Also any idea on where I can change the Format Profile to 422P @ High Level please?

Finally,  are the graphics not looking good when I export because the Mac screen cannot show the interlaced video properly maybe?

Many thanks for any help with this,

Silvia

The option is backed in.

Do a test run and check the file with MEDIAINFO.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm having this same issue with Premiere 25.1. When exporting XDCAM 50, MXF OP1a, checking the "Forced Fixed Length GOPs" option on, according to Media Info, defaults to M=3, N=15 values. Is there no way to change these values so that they come out as M=3, N=12 instead? Thanks.

Hi @Kevin-Monahan, thanks for the reply! I had a look at Jarle's answer but it's not very helpful. He basically says "Premiere is right and the broadcasters are wrong/outdated so trust it." I ended up enabling the "Force Fixed Length GOPs" option and I've exported the masters like that. They haven't been rejected yet, so hopefully it's all good, but in the event that they do get rejected for this reason, I was just wondering if there's a way to manually enter these LongGOP values that they asked for. I did some more digging and it seems that this isn't an option though.

Hi I have the exact same specs I need to work to - did the solution below work? If you could let me know what settings you used to comply that would be amazing!
