GPU acceleration works in one project but not the other?

I have a project which works fine. I have made a copy so as to alter ratios and now one of the clips has the dreaded warning 'This effect requires GPU acceleration' I have opened the original and it remains fine. I've re imported the original cip into the new project and it continues with the warning. How on earth do I fix this, any ideas?
