On the "New Project" Screen, on the "Video Rendering and Playback" section there is a new option right under the Renderer: Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA). It says "Preview Cache" And it is set to "None" and it is grayed out and can't be changed. If you hove over it, it says: "Uses persistent Caching on the GPU memory for increased performance". Does anybody know how that works and why it would be grayed out if I have CUDA? is it a future feature for the new nvidia gpus only? or for AMD cards only?

I came at this post since I got horrible results with realtime. Was looking for a sollution but I do not hope this means nvidea people (got titan xp) have to accept slow results. It feels adobe software utilizing the gpu needs some attention.

How to switch off this very super new AMD Radeon caching and decrease my work? I want to use disk caching for playback preview.
