Graphics Card Not Working - Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

I just downloaded the Windows update and I'm no longer able to load video into the "Import Media" box. My graphics cards are Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. To try to solve the problem, I've downloaded the latest version of Premiere. I've made sure each card has the latest driver. The GeForce 940MX, by the way, apparently doesn't have a "studio" version. While I know the graphics cards are dated, they were working just fine (lots of videos) until I updated windows. The Adobe tech I spoke with said, basically, that my graphics cards were old and needed replacing. I can't do that because it's a laptop. Anyway, the laptop works great, except for this issue. Is there a work around? Thank you.

 

Error message I'm getting: "The importer reported a generic error"

I think you'd have problems with that laptop with the 2020 Premiere as yea, those are not going to be used.

 

You might be able to work with 2019, which is still available.

Thanks, John. I re-downloaded the last version of Premeire and it seems to be working fine. I guess I baught myself some time ... time to look for a new computer. Thank you for your response.
