When I have Harware Ecoding So Why Will I Render it with Software Encoding

I'm Updating Premire Pro Today Let See What would Happen!!!

Hardware and Software encoding in the Summary section of the Export dialog is ONLY a 'thing' with H.264/5 long-GOP encoding. And it is totally dependent on the CPU you have, whether it has the right hardware to export H.264/5 encodes.

 

And ... whether the full settings you have chosen can be done with a hardware encode. Such things as setting to two-pass encoding can not be a Hardware encoded on any CPU. And there are a ton of other issues with various H.264 settings. And sometimes when you have something selected in the Export dialog, and have the Hardware Encoding set in the Preferences, you get this error. Simply because it can't use Hardware H.264 encoding for it.

 

And again, this doesn't involve the GPU whatever.
