Hi all, I'm having plenty of issues since moving to Monterey (and before). The latest is that I can not get clean playback with h264 footage, it is decoding it incorectly and it's playing back in a mosic with the faces all distorted, I know the footage is fine because it worked before the update. I have downgraded premiere to 22.2 because the playback was terrible in the latest, but I really need the playback and decoded h264 to look normal. Any ideas? I regret Monterey.

I'm on a M1 Max, 32GB RAM and Premiere 22.2

Hey Ricky_Norris,

Sorry about the issue. Which version of Premiere were you using before reverting to 22.2? Could you check if you have any OS updates available? Also, did you try going to Premiere Pro > Preferences > Media and disabling H.264/HEVC hardware accelerated decoding and encoding?

Thanks,

Ishan
