Help please....Why is my Dell laptop editing premier footage so well when it is sooo badly specced?

Hi All,

I  mistakenly bought an underpowered laptop some months ago. Its a Dell 7420.   It has an integrated video ram.  The video has 128meg of ram.   I have been looking for another more powerful laptop with a good video card so I can edit in Premier Pro.

Heres the thing....   I downloaded Premier Pro onto this under powered laptop and it seems to edit my project without any issues.   Am I missing something here? The laptop has 16 meg of Ram and an I5 cpu.

I am editing full HD footage, which is all I need.

I did a trial export and it exported just fine.  This is so weird, can someone please tell me what is going on here?   I just dont get it!

It is probably using integrated graphics.

I am not totally sure what that means, would you be kind enough to explain?

It sounds like your i5 system is stable, but it can be expected to have longer render and export times than a like generation or newer i7 or i9.
