How can I italicize individual words in a Source Text from After Effects Essential Graphics

I created a morgt file of a quote animation from After Effects and brought it into premiere. I thought I would be able to just highlight a word or two that I wanted to italicize or make bold but instead the entire source text goes italic/bold. Is there not a way to just have it be for the words I want?

I know the option is there for an essential graphic created in Premiere, but what about one created in After Effects?
