I've been making 4K HDR videos Final Cut Pro. I'm now thinking of getting the Rode NT-SF1 microphone (which is a 4-channel ambisonic mic). I don't think Final Cut can do ambisonic sound (just mono, stereo, and surround). So I'm wondering if I should start using Premiere Pro instead.
I think I figured out how to do HDR in Premiere Pro. I've uploaded the video and now just waiting for it to show HDR (I think it takes a day or two).
To do ambisonic sound in Premiere Pro, I found https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/how-to-mix-ambisonics-in-premiere-pro/ . I followed that article with a test sequence, but that article is just for audio only, no video. So when I tried exporting, following that article, I chose for the video codec "Apple ProRes 422 HQ" (as I read that is good to choose for HDR), but for audio, I don't see an option for 4 channels:
So I'm just wondering, before I purchase the ambisonic microphone, I want to see if I will be able to do HDR video quality with 4-channel ambisonic sound.
Have something to add?
