How to do object animation with same background

Hi!

I'm quite new at editing, and i've been trying for some days to achieve something which im not sure how its called. The idea is that lets say we have a still background image, with objects popping there, and we start with a zoom in (focusing on the object) now we will slide to the right and a new object will appear, slide to the right again, but with the same background and smooth, is this possible to do?
