I have a question.
When importing an XDCAM HD 422 60i OP1A MXF file with embedded CEA-708 closed captions into Premiere (on a MacBook M4), will the closed captions be retained?
If they are retained, I would like to know how to import the file while keeping the closed captions intact, make some edits, and then export the file while maintaining the closed captions.
Additionally, when exporting an XDCAM HD 422 60i OP1A MXF file with embedded CEA-708 closed captions in Premiere, I want to set the captions to "Roll-up 3."
Are there specific rules or guidelines for creating caption files?
I tested this using a file I made in Premiere. When you import a file with embedded close captions and drag it to the new sequence icon, it will make a new sequence with a CEA-708 track. Your captions should appear on it. Just make sure the track selector is checked when doing extracts so they stay in time with everything else.
When you export, make sure you enable the Captions section and change the Export Options to "Embed in output file".

Thank you for your advice.
Embedded CEA-708 closed caption Mxf Files created in Premiere Pro work fine.
The MXF files with closed captions embedded in other S/W(unknown) can't be loaded into Premiere as CEA 708 subtitles.
Perhaps there's something that doesn't match.
