how to increase the audio monitoring volume

When I finish a piece where I'm doing the audio tweaking, I always like to do a pass wearing headphones.  In most cases I use a usb headset...  Is there a way to increase the monitoring volume without adjusting the actual levels...  I'm on a macstudio and ... never mind, just realized that if I change the mac audio output to match the audio hardware output setting in premiere preferences, the mac audio level controls adjust the playback thru the usb headset.  Figured I'd post this in case someone else wants to do this...
