The old titler allows you to insert photos into the middle of the text. Therefore scrolling a logo with text is easy.
Since the titler is considered obsolete, what is the new method to do this?
If it's just text, I can animate the text block to move vertically to scroll the text.
But I can't figure out how to add pictures to this text block.

Add the logo to the EGP.

Dragging and dropping a photo into the "monitor" triggers a circle menu (insert, overwrite, ...) but letting go of the mouse causes the pic to be inserted into the timeline as a separate clip, which doesn't help. But I wonder the purpose of this circular menu.
However, I was able to insert the pic into the text using the essential graphics panel. Once inserted that way, it can then be moved and resized in the monitor. And then clicking in the black area of the monitor brings up the option to roll the text/pic
Thanks. Would never have figured this out (to drop the pic into the panel instead of the monitor).

Yes that is the way to go.
You can do all sorts of stuff with images in the EGP

There's a lot to the EGP that isn't 'obvious', but is actually pretty easy to do.
Like the new shape creator icon ... so many people don't even know it's there. You simply set the number of 'points' or 'corners' to create triangles, rectangles, pentangles, whatever. Slick & fast, but it's just a little added screen squiggle to most people.
