How to remove duplicate frames and retain slow motion effect?

Hey all, I recently shot some footage with an Atomos Ninja V recorder to my Canon R5. Footage was shot at 59.94 to be used as slow motion later, both camera and Ninja were correctly set, shutter as well, correct cable used. Upon downloading into Premiere and interpreting to 23.98, I noticed the slow motion effect was jerky then I come to find out it's because each clip has duplicate frames in it - a single extra frame for each frame. Is there a fix for this? I want to be able to retain a slow motion effect in the 23.98 timeline but I think removing each frame manually will just make the footage play back at "normal" speed.

Try the speed option with optical flow instead of interpreting.
