I would like to know if it is possible to link/sync a local folder on my computer to a bin in Premiere. I want the assets in my local image folder to automatically populate in my Premiere image folder in the library. I hate having to drag and drop hundreds of assets over to Premiere and then organize the content. This would save me a ton of time. If this is currently not a feature in Premiere I am sure a lot of us would love to have it as a new feature in Premiere. I would appreciate any advice or tips on this matter.
Thanks!
Jose D.
Hi Jose,
No, sorry. The Media Browser has a direct link to your media folders to media that can be viewable in Premiere Pro. To use media from there, however, you do have to import it. Make a feature request here.
Thanks,
Kevin

I'm going to jump in here and also say that I think this feature should be included in Premiere Pro. It would save so much time and energy for PR users worldwide. Also in the import tool there should be an option to import local folders as individual bins. @Kevin-Monahan Your link to submit a feature request routes back to the Adobe forum page - can you please provide an updated link?

Hi,
You need to import footage into the Project Panel. You can visually preview the contents of folders in the Media Browser and also import clips or folders from there. If you set up a favorite location , this may make it easier to access the files on your system.

I figured out that the correct terminology, it's Hot Folder.
Hot Folders can be configured on local computers so that files placed into that folder, they will periodically get imported into the corresponding folder in Zoom. Metadata can also be applied to assets during a hot folder import. Scripts can be configured to run prior to (pre-scripts) and after (post-scripts) the actual import operation, allowing users to set up extra processing at critical junctures.
I think this software can do what I am saying.
