How to use existing Peak Files?

I have maybe 30TB of video footbage that I have already generated all of the pek files for. However when I open up premiere it will start to create the pek files again for said files.

Is it possible to get Premiere to just check if there is a pek file and reuse that for it?

There is a setting in the preferences for generating audio waveforms; you can turn that off.
