I am unable to view any of a shared project. I am looking for a specific sequence.

I am unabel to view a project that I woked on my group members laptop to edit on my on device. I need a specific sequence. Is it possible that my group memer shared the wrong version of the project? how can i get the entire contents of project?

I'd look in your project panel for sequence icons (Blue Green bars) and see if any are unopened. If so double click on the sequence to open it.

Yes, it is possible that you don't have the correct project.
