I can't seem to import videos

I have been having trouble lately with importing videos into the sequences/projects. Only the audio gets imported and I can't seem to find a solution to import the videos.

Another problem I have is I can't seem to make Premier pro output the audio into my earphones, it just ignores it and uses my laptop's audio system. Any helps on that?

Importing into the project or sequence (big difference) ?

If latter is usually a source patching issue.

In the audio hardware (preferences) set input to NONE.

Open clip in Source Monitor first, that will trigger the source patching.
