Images not appearing in Premiere Pro

When importing images specifically jpegs into Premiere they are simply black. I've looked on line for aome solutions but they don't seem to be working.

In a previous version it worked great and opening up a previous file that was then updated to the newest version also then stopped displaying images.

Open them in Photoshop and resave them (preferably as PSD).  Then import into Premiere Pro.

Please make sure that your operating system is up to date also.
