import in Première Pro and changing filetype

I did choose under "File","Project Settings" for "Transcode" and "match source-H.264 high bitrate" to change a .MOV file to .MP4.

I got different result by using the "TAB" "Import" (No change in file type)

or:

going to "File", "Import". Here I got the wanted change form .mov to .MP4.

Is this a bug or did I something wrong.

Hi @Harry Streukens,

Thanks for the message. I think I understand the bug report. Have you tried the latest version? Transcode on Import seems to be working from the UI. Media Encoder should launch in the background. I noticed that the process happened very quickly. Let me know what you're seeing in a current version. I'll move your report to Discussions as I await your response.

Thanks,
Kevin
