Import jpg from Photoshop to Premiere problem

We just installed MAC Studio's with M1 chips. Latest versios of Adobe installed. If I'm working in Premiere and open Photoshop, create a jpg. When I try to import the jpg into Premiere I get a cannot import message. If close Photoshop and Premiere and reopen Premiere I get the same message. If I restart the computer and open Premiere then it imports no problem. This has happened multiple times and is a major slowdown to the workflow. Any ideas as to why this is happening and what to do about it?

Hey stevea,

Welcome to the community, and sorry for the issue. Could you let us know what export setting you are using in Photoshop? Do you only see this issue with the jpg files? Which type of storage device are you using to save the jpg files? If so, what happens when you rename the container to another format, like png? Also, please share a screenshot of the error message.

Thanks,

Ishan

I tried exporting png, photoshop, jpg. None of them would import into Premiere until I restarted the computer, not just the software. Then all three imported just fine. We use a server for all of our storage. So I save it to the same file as all the footage I am using in the project.

Thanks for letting us know. If you see the issue again, please try saving the files in your internal storage and let us know if that makes any difference.
